The latest release of Salman Khan, Tubelight has received mixed to negative reviews. Well, it seems that actor does not care at all as he has bashed critics once again.
While talking to the media yesterday, Salman said, "The critics were like very good. I was expecting minus 3 and minus 4 stars but they have given 1 and 0.5 stars apparently. So I am very pleased. There were reports that people cannot see me crying. I said are they laughing when I cry. But it turned out that all were crying. So I said don't worry about that."
"What happens with a film like this is that it is an Eid release. Those who dance and sing in theatres were expecting some other kind of film. So now this film should not be seen with Launde Lapades or buddies. It is a very emotional film. Even an emotionless person will get teary eyes after watching the film. This is that kind of film. You need to take your family to the theatres," he continued.
Talking about the average response from the audience, Salman said, "That's what I am saying that they were expecting some other kind of film. I got so many emotional messages after the release of promos and songs. So we have prepared the audience for a beautiful, simple and emotional film about brothers."
When he was asked about the sense of failure that might just bother him, Salman says, "Am I looking bothered? I am not bothered. I am sure it is gonna do okay and will get us a lot of respect."
Tubelight has an average opening day as it collected 20 crores. The film needs to show big growth over the extended first weekend for recovering the costs.
