Salman Khan starrer continues its excellent run in its fifth week. After a huge jump on Saturday, there was 50% growth on Sunday too. Sultan 5th Sunday collection will be 0.78 crore.
The film has done well due to the lack of competition. There was no major release this week and few small Bollywood films hit the screens. As expected it was the Hollywood releases which dominated over the weekend. As Sultan was mainly collecting at single screens, it has a got window of one more week.
Sultan box office collection in 33 days will be 299.74 crore. It is now in touching distance of reaching 300 cr mark. Last week it looked a little tough however Sultan collection remained steady in the fifth week. Now Salman Khan will have two films in this elite club. Sultan will remain the highest grosser of the year until December when Dangal will come as only Aamir Khan starrer can challenge this film.
With the release of Mohenjo Daro and Rustom next week, Sultan’s terrific run will finally come to an end.
The movie, which is the third highest Bollywood earner worldwide, has inched closer to the Rs 600 crore mark .Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar Sultan, which features Salman in the title role has been on a record breaking spree since it released on Eid this year.
