PRDP has excellent hold on Friday. According to official figures Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 2nd day box office collection will be around 31.03 crore.
Today Salman Khan starrer had a record breaking start in the morning shows. The overall occupancy was around 55%. But the film dropped in noon and afternoon shows due to some festive celebrations. Later on it again had huge occupancy in the evening. At some palaces the film was housefull. Single screens and small centers were rock solid. Multiplexes has a decent hold.
PRDP 2nd day collection has dropped around 25% from Thursday. This is an excellent result. Mostly films tend to drop 35% after a big holiday.
Today family audience were spotted more in cinemas while youth were in less numbers than yesterday. The response among youth has been mixed. Another concern was the considerable drop in East Punjab and Delhi. These are major circuits and they have to pick up on Saturday.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo day 2 collection will be among the highest second day ever.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo box office collection in 2 days will be 71.38 crore. PRDP is ahead of all films except from Happy New Year. Though the margin is small and can be covered tomorrow.
The film has also performed extremely well in overseas. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo overseas collection is 10.54 crore only from a single day. The film has set record in Gulf. It is also the biggest opener for Salman.
Now it should grow on Saturday. The advance booking is good but the reports are mixed. Though it does not a matter a lot for big films. An upward trend on Saturday will indicate that film has been accepted.
