Padmavati to release on Nov 17 as per schedule

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati has been in news ever since it was announced. The film which stars Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, has been involved in too many controversies.

The sets of the film were vandalized twice, first in Rajasthan and then in Maharashtra during its shoot. Thus the shooting of the film was postponed and there were reports that it might not get ready for 2017 release.

However Bhansali Productions and Viacom 18 has denied all such reports. "Padmavati is not postponed. Not shifting to 2018 either. It will release on November 17, 2017," Viacom 18 Motion Pictures said in a statement.

Padmavati is an important release and its delay will cause the change in 2017 schedule. Golmaal Again and Dutt were announced to release on Diwali and Christmas respectively but no confirmation has been made since then. There were reports they will target November release if Padmavati is postponed.
