There is not any major film releasing this Friday. Instead, it will be six smaller Bollywood and two Hollywood franchise films that will hit the screens.
Rajeev Khandelwal's suspense thriller has not much in its favour. The trailer was packed with exotic visuals however, there is not much to talked about the film. It will have a negligible opening and will be a disaster/washout unless extraordinary WOM saves it.
The Legend of Michael Mishra:
The best-known release is Arshad Warsi's comedy film. It was promoted on a medium scale and the music also found little appreciation. Meanwhile, Punjab has banned the release of the film fearing protests which can lead to more buzz. However it can only score if the word of mouth is excellent. The 1st day will be under 0.5 cr.
The National Award winning film based on the life of wonder boy Budhia Singh, who was India's youngest marathon runner. It already had found critical appreciation and can work in limited high end multiplexes.
Hai Apna Dil To Awara, Mods of Crimes, Babuji Ek Ticket Bambai:
These are already washouts and they will struggle to even get a release.
The DC Comics super hero film has been in the news for quite a time and has fans in India too. However, it has received mixed to negative reviews. It will have a reasonable opening and can stay in theaters until next week.
Jason Bourne is back with his next spy action-thriller movie. The franchise is known for its fast-paced and stylish action. It will definitely work in the multiplexes and will enjoy a good opening weekend.
Our bet will be on Jason Bourne that it will lead the box office. What do you say?
