Ajay Devgn and Karan Johar will have a big box office clash as Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be released on the same date. The clash had recently taken an ugly turn after Ajay shared an audio clip in which critic Kamaal R Khan said that Karan paid him Rs 25 lakh to promote ADHM and criticise Shivaay.
Now, Ajay says that he had no intentions to have any fight with Karan. "It's really sad that things got ugly. But the idea wasn't to do that. It was an issue about this man (KRK). I never claimed that it was paid. This man tried to extort money from me saying he got paid. How do I know he got paid? He could be lying. I am sure he must be lying."
"It wasn't my fight against Karan, but my fight against this man who claimed Karan had paid him to promote negativity about my film," he added.
When there is a clash, it has hampered the business of both films but Ajay is confident that Shivaay will be liked by audience.
"Yes, maybe a bit of it will get hampered. But then again, it's a pre-Diwali release so you cannot expect a huge opening. And the film which will have better content will automatically start doing better from Monday onwards. I am very confident about the film I made," he added.
