Kesari has done very well in its extended opening weekend. As per the official figures, the film has collected 78.07 crores in its first 4 days.
The film remained strong on Sunday too with collecting 21.51 crores. It is a 15% jump from yesterday which is slightly on the lower side as it could have been higher. Probably the family audience did not come in big numbers as the film had a lot of violence. Still, the Sunday collections are good and even better than the opening day which was a holiday.
The extended opening weekend has ensured that the film is a box office success. Though the trend on weekdays will tell us if it will emerge a clean hit. It will be very interesting to see what will happen with Kesari as the collections on Saturday and Sunday were lower than expectations.

78 cr extended weekend is barely more than 70 cr for Gully Boy which was an off-beat drama only for single screens and with a much smaller budget... Kesari has proven that Akshay always fails to deliver huge grossers that trade and fans expect (don't talk about 2.0, just like Baahubali this one was about scale, direction and VFX, not star power). Uri with no star value relied on patriotism and war to score almost 245 cr... With the same themes + historical genre which is very popular, Kesari won't cross 150 cr. Another 130-140 semi-hit for Akshay.
KESARI will be a SUPER-HIT at the BOX OFFICE, again proving that Aksay is an excellent investment in a GOOD FILM
