Hrithik Roshan's upcoming film Super 30 faced a major setback when the director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual harassment by an ex-employee of Phantom.
The project was derailed in the last couple of weeks but since then, the lady has declined to initiate legal proceedings against the filmmaker. As a result, director Vikal Bahal has returned to complete the project.
Says a source close to the development, “Vikas is not being taken back into the production company. But since the lady has withdrawn her case, the project needs to be completed and released.”
Earlier, Hrithik Roshan took a stand of not working with any person who is guilty of such misconduct and even urged the producers to take some harsh stand. Taking to Twitter Hrithik said,
"It is impossible for me to work with any person if he/she is guilty of such grave misconduct. I am away and have access to only sporadic information. I have requested the producers of Super 30 to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand if need be. This is not to be hushed or brushed under the carpet. All proven offenders must be punished and all exploited people must be empowered and given strength to speak up."
According to reports, Super 30 producer Madhu Matena had a long conversation with Hrithik and convince him to get back on board to complete the film with Vikas Bahl.
