Ashutosh Gowariker’s upcoming period drama, Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde, has been in the news ever since it went on floors; thanks to the tight wraps it has been kept under. While reports, so far, have claimed that the film is a love story set in the Indus Valley, there is in fact a lot more to it than just romance.
In the film Hrithik Roshan is playing an orphan living with his uncle near Mohenjo Daro, who falls in love with a girl (Pooja) from the instant he sets eyes on her. But that’s not all. If reports are to be believed Kabir Bedi is the main villain in the film. There is a twits in the story that it is his daughter that Hrithik will fall in love with. What’s more is that Hrithik will eventually find out that this is the same person who was responsible for his father’s death.
So with interesting turn of events, the love story gradually transforms into a revenge story. Sounds similar to Agneepath na!!!
Talking about the plot, a source from the sets said to a popular tabloid, “When he (Hrithik) learns that there’s a fair in Mohenjo Daro, he sneaks out of his house and joins the fair with the ambition of becoming a trader. There he meets Pooja Hegde’s character and it’s love at first sight.”
Reportedly, the film which is slated to hit screen on August 12 next year, is being shot at Kunariya village of Bhuj where Gowariker had also filmed his Oscar nominated Lagaan starring Aamir Khan.
