After a decent start on the day of its release, Akshay Kumar starrer has picked up its pace on its second day. The movie had a decent opening and has minted Rs. 15.21 cr. on the first day of its release. But today there was a positive upward trend.
As per the official figures Housefull 3 2nd day box office collection is 16.30 crore. Today, the film had a better start in the morning shows. The overall occupancy was 40% in the morning and noon shows. There was a little drop in northern parts of the country because of the extremely hot weather. But quickly it recovered and then the evening shows were solid. The advance booking was also good which helped Housefull 3 2nd day collection to increase further. Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat are the best performing places. The multiplexes continue to dominate while single screens dropped further after an average opening. Overall Housefull 3 Saturday collection has witnessed around 5% jump from yesterday.
Housefull 3 box office collection in 2 days will be over 31 crores. The collections are still low if we compare it to the films like Brothers and Singh Is Bling. But it's trend is looking better and also they both were holiday releases. There is only one concern that the film has not performed to its full potential in single screens which is much needed for the hold on weekdays. As far recovery is concerned, it is still a long way to go.
The film has done excellent business in overseas. It has collected 13.36 crore from Thursday previews and Friday. It is the biggest opener for Akshay Kumar. Now Sunday is crucial for the film as it needs to cross 20 crores. With the help of family audience which comes in big numbers on holiday, it can do so. But single screens can limit its potential growth on Sunday.

You are right. Just went to Mc Cine Trianon.. it was house full. Drove down to Cine Star Bagatell, there also house full, finally managed to get a ticket in 3rd row at Cine Classic at Caudan. There also it was 99% tickets sold.
