Tiger Zinda Hai has easily recorded the highest opening weekend of all time. The film has beaten last Christmas release Dangal and Sultan by a good margin.
Interestingly Tiger Zinda Hai does not have an extra holiday or a national holiday. Salman Khan has now three films in top 5 and four in top 10. He is followed by Aamir Khan who has three films in top 10 while SRK and Ajay Devgn have two and one films respectively.

with tiger zinda hai now salman has a clean sweep over all the initial records as far as bollywood is concerned. biggest opening day, weekend, first week, single day, non holiday opening day, non holiday weekend all belongs to him. but still if the first day could have been 37-38 crore net atleast then the weekend could have been 120 crore plus and bb2 single day record would have also been broken . but still 115 crore weekend is great. this would have been salman's 9th highest all time weekend in his career but boi.com includes bb2 ( hindi) so record weekend would not be mentioned in it's datas.
now let's see where it goes in monday ( xmas day). sunday will be impossible giving the 60-65% start in morning shows which is little better than friday. but key will be noon shows. that will be way better than friday and saturday and how much better it will be that will decide whether it will cross it's friday and saturday numbers. 35 crore plus would be the target. and then tuesday will give an idea about lifetime. if tuesday holds around 18-19 crore range and till thursday it remains around 15 crore net then we can see another huge extended 4 day second weekend with new year holiday on monday.
