War has set the record for the highest opening day of all time. It has beaten Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindustan despite facing a clash and having lesser screens. The film has evicted Ekk Tha Tiger from the top ten list.
Interestingly the rest of the films have been released on bigger festivals of Eid, Diwali and Christmas. While War was also released on a National holiday, it had fewer screens as compared to other festival releases. Still the film has set the box office on fire and has created history.
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff have now one film in the top 10 list. Salman Khan still tops the list with 4 films to his name. Aamir Khan and SRK both have two films each. Ranbir Kapoor also has one film in the list. The list has been dominated by Khans for a long time. However the scenario is changing with time and we might see new faces soon.
