Hate Story 3 Friday Box Office Collection Update (1st Day):
The second half of 2015 has proven to be an average one for Bollywood. Except from Bajrangi Bhaijaan, big ticket films have not done well at the box office. Instead small films like Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Pyaar Ka Punchnaama 2 have turned out to be big hits. The recent release Shaandaar and Tamasha has also not performed up to the expectations.
Now all eyes are now on today’s big release Zarine Khan starrer Hate Story 3.
It was released today in around 2500 screens. The early trends suggest that film has taken a very good opening.
The overall occupancy in the morning shows was around 35-40% in all over India which is very good. The opening was much better in single screens and small centers. While in metros it was around 25%. The multiplexes has a below average start.
The opening is better than the last two films of the franchise. It is even at par with some of the big release of this year. The film also has no real competition at the box office which helped it to ensure solid occupancy.
It will be interesting to see how this film performs in the evening shows. As these kind of movies tend to lose momentum towards evening. The film has a huge advantage of low budget which it can recover easily.
Going by the early trends, it seems that Hate Story 3 1st day collection can be in the range of 7-8 crore. It can go higher with growth in the evening shows.
The other Hindi releases opened poorly with Angry Indian Goddesses being better with occupancy of around 7%. While Kajarya is a washout.
