Farhan Akhtar to play a boxer in Mohit Suri's next film

Farhan Akhtar has played athlete Milkha Singh in the biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which is the biggest hit of his career. He is set to return as a sportsperson, this time as a boxer.

Mohit Suri who recently directed Half Girlfriend has finalised his next project and has decided to cast Farhan in it.

“Goldie Behl and I approached Farhan recently with my script on a father-son relationship. He really liked it. I need another actor for the role parallel to Farhan, when he plays the son. Farhan and I spoke about the script, and he thinks it’s brilliant Mohit told dna.

“The story is close to my own relationship with my father, except that the film has boxing as its backdrop. I was eight when my mother passed away, and my father raised me on his own. The story is about the struggle he faced as a single dad at 36…  I’m excited about bringing my real-life story to the screen.”
