Recently there were reports that Deepika Padukone has called Shahrukh Khan and asked him to postpone Dilwale to 25 December. However she has now clarified her stance.
Deepika Padukone was at her ethnic best flaunting Anju Modi’s creation at the launch of the first song of her upcoming movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’ titled “Deewani Mastani”. There were reports about the actress calling her ‘Om Shanti Om’ co-actor Shah Rukh Khan regarding the clash of her movie with the latter’s ‘Dilwale’.
When asked to comment on the same, Deepika Padukone told reporters: “I think when you are working in a film like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, there’s no real time or head space to get even involved in something like that. As an actor, I think the only thing an actor can do is to do your part with honesty and conviction and you leave the rest to your professionals like the producers and directors who will make that call.”
She also said, “I have a very personal equation with Shah Rukh and I would never do something like that.”
The movie which also stars Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra will release on December 18, clashing with Shahrukh Khan's Dilwale.
