After storming the Chinese box office and rewriting history, Aamir Khan's Dangal was released in Hong Kong and Turkey in the third phase. As expected it has opened to a rocking response.
The film which debuted at the number 2 at the Hong Kong box office has grossed $85k on Thursday on just 46 screens. The total including previews is $162K (1.03 cr). Needless to say that it has recorded the highest opening day collections for Indian films. 3 Idiots is the highest grossing Indian film in the country which grossed $3 million after running for almost 6 months.
Earlier Dangal was also released in Turkey on 18 August. The film has grossed $56k over the first weekend which is the highest for an Aamir Khan starrer. The highest grossing film in Turkey is SRK's Dilwale which grossed $116k and Dangal is looking to beat it to become highest grosser in Turkey too.
Dangal has recently completed its historic run at the Chinese box office as the worldwide gross is now close to 2000 crores. It looks like that the film is going to set some more records in near future.
