Badrinath Ki Dulhania Day 1 Box Office Collection Update: 2017 has been started on an average note as only one film Raees has been able to take a good opening. There were some disappointments like OK Jaanu and Rangoon. Now all eyes are on Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's first release of the year. As per the official announcement, the film is released in 3000 screens. The overall occupancy in the morning shows was up to 30-35% in all over India which is good. Opening is better in Mumbai, Delhi and in mass circuits. In North India, it has opened in the same range as Jolly LLB 2 whereas in Mumbai, the opening is second best after Raees.
BKD is a youth film so the big growth in the evening might not come. The release period is also not favoruable to the exam season. But overall the film is targeting for the second or third highest opening day of 2017. This will be a great achievement considering the all factors involved.
The film is made on a medium budget of 50 crore including P&A. If Badrinath Ki Dulhania shows normal growth over the weekend, it will be a success. None of Varun Dhawan's films have opened poor and BKD seems to be another success in his kitty who has not faced any failure yet. Though Alia Bhatt should also be given a credit for the good opening of the film.
Noon Shows Report:
Badrinath Ki Dulhania has maintained a solid pace in the noon shows. Due to the youth theme, the film has not shown much growth which was expected. Now if it can just show normal upward trend in the evening, it will be enough for a solid first day.
