Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif's Baar Baar Dekho is hitting the screens this Friday. One day before the release, it seems as a winner at the box office.
The marketing team has done a wonderful job. A couple of months back, it looked like a dull release and there was no buzz in the trade for the film. However, the makers opted for a unique way of marketing which worked. Instead of a trailer, Kala Chashma song was released which became an instant chartbuster. The promo was fresh and the music also became popular. They only sold what the film has to offer and targetted the film towards youth.
The economics were already in favour of Baar Baar Dekho. Despite being shot in exotic locations, the producers did keep a check on production cost. They also made good profits by selling satellite and music rights. As a result, the film only needs to collect 45 cr for recovering cost and will emerge a clean hit at 50 cr.
As reported earlier the film is expected to take a very good start and can collect 30-35 crore in the first weekend even with decent response only. On weekdays at least 15 crore more can be expected which means it can be a success just after the first week.
