Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly the busiest actor in Bollywood. While now a days, actors are doing one film per year, he manages to release 3-4 films every year.

Akshay Kumar has four releases in 2015. Today we are gonna analyse these films and their box office numbers. Let's take a look.

Director: Neeraj Pandey
Other Cast: Rana Daggubati, Tapsee Panu

The trailer of the film was released way earlier. But the film could not sustain that buzz later as it had no songs. Baby has a good opening day of 9.3 crore. It showed good growth over the weekend. After a good opening week, it sustained well in the second week too. But the costs were on the heavier side and the film had no support from satellite and music rights.

Gabbar Is Back

Director: Krish
Other Cast: Shruti Hassan

Gabbar Is Back was a masala action film. It received decent reviews with Akshay Kumar's performance and dialogues were praised. After a solid opening weekend and a decent hold on Monday, it showed noticeable drops in coming days. Low budget of the film helped it to gain hit status. It was one of well received commercial films of Akshay.

Director: Karan Malhotra
Other Cast: Sidharth Malhotra, Jacquline Fernandez

Brothers was one of the most anticipated film of 2015. But upon its release, it received negative reviews. Though t went on to become Akshay Kumar's highest opener but it almost crashed on Monday. It was one of the costliest film of Akshay's career and turned out to be big flop.

Singh Is Bling

Director: Prabhudeva
Other Cast: Amy Jackson

Just a few days after the debacle of Brothers, Akshay released the trailer of Singh Is Bling. The expectations were not huge earlier but the buzz and hype increased after the release chartbuster music. Upon its release Singh Is Bling shattered many records of Akshay. But it also could not hold that well on weekdays. The film witnessed big drops in 2nd week. It was saved by the recovery from satellite and music rights.

Let's take a look at the all four releases.

IMDB Rating

Republic Day
95.5 cr
Above Average
Gabbar Is Back
Labour Day
86 cr
Ind. Day
84 cr
Singh Is Bing
Gandhi Jayanti
91 cr

Overall it was a good year for Akshay Kumar. But the major concern was that none of his film could cross 100 crore. Having said so, it is not an easy task to deliver four films of different genres in a single year. It is a feat which no other actor can achieve today.
