Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Trailer Review: Analysis
The trailer opens with Ranbir explaining how twisted love is and then it highlights the friendship of Ranbir and Anushka. They both play the best friends who get along because both cannot handle the intensity that comes with love. Fawad Khan is Anushka's on screen lady love and is shown as her catastrophe. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan completes the love triangle. There are some steamy scenes between Ranbir and Aish. Their chemistry is sizzling and sets the screens on fire.
We were expecting something fresh in the trailer but there is nothing new. It looks like a typical Karan Johar film having a love triangle. The concept of confusion between love and friendship has been executed many times before and ADHM offers the same. It looks like a mixture of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
However, there are also some positive aspects. The production values are grand as the film has been shot in exotic locations. The music is promising as the first two tracks already have become a chartbuster. Aishwarya Rai looks gorgeous and has literally stolen all the limelight. Frankly speaking, we were sad to see that Aish is not the main character in the story. It would have been interesting to see more of her.

Ranbir Kapoor manages to show his acting talent though his voice over could have been better. The favorite scene was where all the three characters are listening to Faiz Ahmed's poetry, "Mujh se pehli si mohabbat mere mahbob na mang", and Ranbir completes Anushka's dialogue.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Trailer Review: Verdict
Overall Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is below average and fails to impress. Instead of an intense tale about love and lust, it looks like a typical rom-com and we are tired seeing them again and again. We need a break.
It's high time Bollywood makers start executing some interesting ideas rather than being predictable.
